Lutheran Campus Ministry (LCM) at SU and SUNY-ESF is a dynamic community, rooted in worship that nurtures growth and inspires service in the name of Christ. LCM partners with students, their families and past and present members of the University and Lutheran communities to experience the union of faith and life.
LCM was begun in 1913 as a way for Lutheran students and their friends to gather for fellowship and support on the Syracuse University campus. Not much has changed. LCM continues to be an open community of worship, growth and support. As a part of the Hendricks Chapel community, it is one of eleven chaplaincies with Pastor Gail Riina joining casino online Roman Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Baptist, Episcopal, Protestant, Evangelical and Historic African American counterparts to minister to the needs of the university community.
Lutheran Campus Ministry is a part of the University”s Hendricks Chapel — a home for all faiths. LCM”s broad ministry includes students, faculty, staff, and the greater Syracuse community through worship, support, fellowship, and service.
LCM encourages spiritual growth among students who connect with the community, regardless of their faith tradition, through a variety of fellowship activities, including an annual winter retreat, a fall lock-in, and ConSups with area congregations.
